Registration for each camp will remain open until the camp is 80 percent filled. At that time, registration will be closed to any groups that do not have at least 5 campers registered (not including sponsors) for Teen Camp and 3 campers for Junior Boot Camp. When a week closes to groups, an email will be sent to each church registered informing them of the exact spaces available for male and female campers before starting a waiting list. Campers can be added to a church group until each available spot is taken and the waiting list begins. Teen and junior registrations are completely separate. Registering 5 or more teen campers does not register your group in Junior Boot Camp and registering 3 or more junior campers does not register your group in Teen Camp.

Can all our campers stay in the same cabin?
Our philosophy is based on ministering to the individual, a goal best attained by keeping only two or three campers from the same church in the same cabin. Family Reunions, a time when a church’s teen group is brought together, are held on Thursday mornings. Cabins are divided by junior high and senior high ages. Roommate requests must be received in writing at least 10 days before your week of camp.
Where do I find registration forms?
In the main menu, under About click on Brochures. Or click here.
What kind of supervision will my junior-aged camper have?
JBC counselors are with their campers at all times not only to supervise but also to enhance your child’s camp experience by encouraging participation in many activities.
Does my child need to bring any spending money?
No, but it sure is nice. Our General Store has a great selection of The Wilds “gear” (t-shirts, hats, jackets, etc.). The store also has CDs, Bible Study books, and many other items that will help your child in their spiritual growth. Our Cool Beans Coffee Shoppe and The Snack are great places to get a refreshing drink or a middle of the day snack.
What should my child do with prescribed medication?
Upon arrival, each camper will turn in any regularly prescribed medication to our Health Service Building. Each day, the camper will have the medicine readied by one of our nurses and be followed up on to make sure they have taken the dosage for that day.
Does my child need to bring any bedding?
Each camper will need to bring their own pillow and bedding. Bring bedding that fits a twin mattress.
What kind of clothes should my child bring?
Ladies/Girls Dress: Clothing should come at least to the top of the knee. Please no low necklines, narrow sleeveless/tank tops, or skin-tight fashions. For water activities, please wear dark shirts and shorts over swimwear. For girls-only swim times, a one-piece swimsuit or a tankini that overlaps at the waist is acceptable.
Men/Boys Dress: Clothing should come at least to the top of the knee. For water activities, please wear dark shirts and shorts/swim trunks. For boys-only swim times, swim trunks are acceptable.
The Wilds reserves the right to ask anyone to change his or her outfit if, in the estimation of the staff, it does not comply with these standards.
Is there someone to help my child if they get hurt or sick?
We have several registered nurses on campsite and at least one nurse on call 24 hours a day. We are also equipped with a Health Service Building that is capable of taking care of most minor injuries and illnesses. We have a great working relationship with the hospital in town should there be the need for anything our Health Service people are not set up to handle. Be assured that we will contact you for any hospital visits. The best thing is for you just to ask your child to not get sick or hurt while they are here at camp!
When will my child arrive home?
Summer camp ends Saturday morning after breakfast at 9:00 a.m.
