CampsAbroad

Full-time staff housing

CampsAbroad exists because of the ministry of people who invest their lives to reach young people for the cause of Christ. Adequate housing allows us to accelerate the training of new staff, reduce ministry overhead, and give our team greater flexibility to serve where they are needed most. Investing in people strengthens their ministry and ultimately helps more churches around the globe reach more teens with the gospel.

Project Overview

Caring for our full-time staff

This project will allow CampsAbroad to fund one half of a duplex at The Wilds’ flagship campsite in North Carolina, providing a home for a full-time staff couple or young family. A modest three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is sufficient to meet this need for long-term housing while reducing the ongoing cost of staffing.

Although CampsAbroad staff aren’t tied to one location, having housing available onsite gives CampsAbroad greater flexibility to recruit and train new staff. Staff can immerse themselves in intensive training and hands-on experience at The Wilds while also maintaining a busy travel schedule to learn the cross-cultural aspects of serving in camps and churches around the world.

As we steward the resources God provides for the ministry, keeping our operating costs low allows us to invest more resources in training ministry leaders, strengthening camps, and reaching teens for Christ around the world. This housing will provide a practical foundation for investing in people, strengthening our training, and increasing the flexibility of the ministry for years to come.
